🇬🇧Conditions that can be picked up and monitored using spirometry include: * Asthma-a long-term condition in which the restriction of air flow is reversible * Chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases-is an independent disease characterized by a partially irreversible restriction of airflow in the airways * Cystic fibrosis - a systemic genetic disease caused by a mutation of the gene of the transmembrane regulator of cystic fibrosis and characterized by damage to the glands of external secretion, severe dysfunctions of the respiratory system.
* Pulmonary fibrosis- a scarring of the lungs.
